Terms of Use

These Terms of Use set out the rules for using Outdoor Adventure, the travel blog at outdooradventure.fit. The site is written and run by Joy Chakma. By reading the blog, leaving a comment or using the contact form, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

About this site

Outdoor Adventure shares personal travel guides to the hill districts of southeast Bangladesh, mainly Rangamati, Bandarban and Khagrachari. The articles describe places I have visited, with practical notes on how to get there and what to expect. The blog is a personal project. It is not a travel agency, a tour operator or an official tourism body.

Use of the content

Everything on this site, including the writing, the photographs, the page designs and the logos, is owned by me or used with permission. You are welcome to read it, share a link to it and quote a short part with clear credit and a link back. You may not copy whole articles, republish them, sell them or pass them off as your own. If you would like to use a photo or a longer section, please email me first and ask.

What you may not do

When you use this site, you agree not to do any of the following:

  • Copy or scrape the content in bulk, by hand or with software.
  • Use the site in a way that breaks the law or harms other people.
  • Try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its server.
  • Post spam, abuse, hateful content or misleading information in the comments.
  • Use the contact form to send unwanted marketing or bulk messages.

Comments and anything you send

When you leave a comment or send a message, you keep ownership of your words, but you give me permission to show, store and moderate them on the site. Please keep comments civil and on topic. I may edit or remove any comment without notice, for example if it is rude, off topic, spam or against the law. You are responsible for what you post.

Accuracy and changes

I work hard to keep the guides correct and current, but places change. A trail can close, a fee can rise, a permit rule can change and a road can wash out. I may add, change or remove any article at any time without notice. The site is provided as it is at the moment you read it.

Travel information is not professional advice

The guides share my own experience and opinion. They are not professional travel, safety, medical or legal advice. You are responsible for your own decisions and your own safety. Always check current conditions, local rules and official guidance before you travel, and use your own judgement on the ground. Please also read the Disclaimer, which forms part of these terms. If you are travelling with children, with a health condition, or during the monsoon, take extra care and get local advice first.

Links to other websites

The blog links to other sites that I think are useful, such as transport, weather and official pages. I do not control those sites and I am not responsible for their content, accuracy or safety. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the other site.

No warranties

The site and its content are provided as they are, without any warranty of any kind. I do not promise that the site will always be available, error free or free of viruses, or that every piece of information is complete and current.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, I am not liable for any loss or damage that results from using this site or from relying on anything in it. This includes injury, cost or inconvenience during travel. You use the blog and act on its information at your own risk. This includes loss of data, lost time, missed connections, and any indirect or knock on loss.

Indemnity

If your use of the site, or your breach of these terms, leads to a claim or cost against me, you agree to cover that cost to the extent the law allows.

Privacy

Your use of the site is also covered by the Privacy Policy, which explains how information is handled. Please read it alongside these terms.

Who can use the site

The site is open to everyone, but parts of it, such as leaving a comment, assume you are old enough to agree to these terms in your country. If you are under that age, please use the site with the help of a parent or guardian.

Automated access and AI training

You may not use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to copy the content in bulk, and you may not use it to build a dataset or to train an AI model, without my written permission. Normal crawling by search engines is welcome.

Copyright complaints

I respect the rights of others and I expect the same in return. If you believe something on this site copies your work without permission, email me through the contact page with the details: what the work is, where it appears here and proof that you own it. I will review it and remove or correct anything that should not be there.

If part of these terms cannot be enforced

If a court finds any part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies. If I do not act on a breach straight away, that does not mean I give up the right to act on it later.

The whole agreement

These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Disclaimer, form the full agreement between you and me about using this site. They replace any earlier understanding on the same subject.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Any dispute connected with the site will be handled by the courts of Bangladesh.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms when the site or the law changes. The current version will always be on this page with the date it was last changed. If you keep using the site after a change, that means you accept the new terms.

Contact

If you have a question about these terms, please reach me through the contact page.
